George Foreman: Former heavyweight world champion sued over allegations of sexual abuse

Former world heavyweight champion George Foreman denies the allegations

Two women accused of being sexually abused by former American heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman in the 1970s have filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court.

Foreman, 73, has denied the allegations since they first came public last month and spokespeople appertained questions about the suits to his earlier statement.

The women filed separate suits under the aliases GwenH. and DeniseF. in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday.
Both women, now in their early 60s, say they first met Foreman as children because their fathers were boxing associates of him.

Denise, a Los Angeles occupant, indicted Foreman of fixing her when she was eight times old and having coitus. With her when she was 15, in one case in a San Francisco hostel room, her action says.

Gwen, a Nevada occupant, said she first met Foreman when she was nine. And indicted him of sexually abusing and violating her when she 15 and 16 times old, including at an apartment in Beverly Hills. She said Foreman told her her father would lose his job as a boxing counsel if she didn’t misbehave.

Foreman called the allegations false and unwarranted. ” Over the once six months, two women have been trying to wring millions of bones. Each from me and my family,” his statement said.” I slip t pick fights, but I do not run down from them moreover.”

Foreman is appertained to as DOE 1 in the suits, but described in them as the professional prizefighter. Who defeated Joe Frazier in 1973 to come the heavyweight champion of the world before losing the title to Muhammad Ali in 1974.
He has since come well known as an entrepreneur dealing an electric grilling machine that bears his name.

The suits were filed as the result of a California law that went into effect in 2020. That temporarily waives the enactment of limitations that had averted victims of nonage sexual abuse from filing civil suits.
Both women are seeking a jury trial and to be awarded an unidentified quantum in damages.
