Finance Minister: Mifhta Ismail said the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government had attempted to “sabotage” its dealings with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) before the board of international financial institutions. attacked as if

(K- P Finance Minister) Taimur Jhagra assured me that he didn’t shoot this letter to the IMF but they (IMF) must have got this letter since it’s circulating across the country,  he said while addressing a precipitously called press conference in Islamabad Friday night.

Miftah was pertaining to the letter written by K- P Finance Minister Jahagra in which he said that it’ll be “ coming to insolvable ” for the parochial government to leave a fat budget if the civil government didn’t resolve the issues of the K- P government.

Pakistan has pledged to the IMF to deliver a primary budget surplus of Rs 153 crore this financial year to meet the program goals of the international financial institutions.

Miftah also said PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in a recent statement admitted that the civil government would not be suitable to secure the IMF deal if their governments in Punjab and K- P didn’t cooperate.
“ still, they asked Punjab too to write the similar letter but Punjab secretary refused to do so, ” he claimed.

Miftah said “ power hunger ” PTI could deign to any position as their leader Imran Khan wasn’t in power.
“ You’re writing this letter moment couldn’t stay for 10 further days. You want to destroy this country because Imran Khan is no more in power but we won’t let you burn this country, ” he added.

Jhagra ‘s letter came just three days before the IMF board meeting on August 29( Monday) to authorize the disbursement of$1.18 billion to Pakistan under the Extended Fund Facility( EFF).

In the letter, the K- P minister while pressing several issues including budget allocation for merged sections as well as ruinous cataracts said without their resolution leaving a fat budget “ will be coming to insolvable ” for the parochial government.

Responding to his statement, Miftah said he’ll hold a meeting with Jaghra on Saturday( moment) and will resolve their issues.
