Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned Israeli airstrikes on Gaza where 10 Palestinians, including a 5-year-old girl, were martyred.

On Twitter, the prime minister said that if impunity and barbarity had a face, it would have been Israel that attacked the Palestinians without regard for consequences.

“Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli airstrikes,” the prime minister said.

In Gaza, at least 10 of his Palestinians, including the commander of the Islamic Jihad Group, were accepted as martyrs during Israeli airstrikes.

In the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, an attack took place after the arrest of senior Palestinian leader Bassam al-Saadi.

Hamas describes the attack as the brutal crime and massacre of the Israeli occupation of Palestinians.
A senior Hamas official, Gazi Hamad, said the attack had no “justification” and that Palestinian factions had the right to defend themselves and “defend” the people.

Tense situation

Gaza City resident Abdullah Al-Araisi, meanwhile, told foreign news outlets that the situation was “very tense.”
“The country is devastated. Enough wars. Our generation has lost its future,” he told AFP. Gaza City’s 4,444 streets were nearly deserted early Saturday morning as many businesses were closed and daily life was largely paralyzed, an AFP reporter said.
