CJ Group Vice Chairman Miky Lee, also known as Miky Lee, won the 2022 International Emmy Awards. It is a gift to an individual or organization for their outstanding contribution to international television over the long term.
She will be awarded her Lifetime Achievement Award at the 50th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York on November 21st.
“Miky Lee is a visionary leader who has used her outstanding business insight and love for her country’s culture while constantly advancing the global phenomenon of the Korean wave for over 25 years. Separately, the Academy Museum announced earlier this month that Lee would be honored at the Academy Film Museum’s Second Annual Gala on October 15.
Lee is said to have won the Gala Pillar Award for her exemplary leadership and support for her museum. As of 2020, Lee is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Academy Film Museum.
She joins other winners, including Oscar winners Tilda Swinton, Julia Roberts, and 2012 slave director Steve McQueen.
“We are very honored to recognize the four members of the international film community for their outstanding achievements in the 2022 Gala,” said Bill Kramer, director, and president of the Academy Museum.
In March, Lee was also named to the International Media Woman of the Year variety. Lee, who is in charge of CJ’s entertainment division, is said to have helped her bring Korean films and music to the world stage. Her executive producers include Bong Joon-ho’s parasite, which made history by becoming the first non-English film to win the Best Film Award in 2020, and Park Chan-wook, who won the Best Film Award. -Won the award at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, which includes the decision to resign as director Chan-wook.
Lee founded and developed KCON, a K-culture festival that celebrates Korean culture and music, the main driving force behind the global rise of K-pop. She co-produces K-pop: Lost in America with Lynda Obst, a road-trip movie about the K-pop group struggling to make her debut in the United States.

On the television side, Lee oversaw the adaptation of the Snowpiercer English series. Her company’s credits also include the TV series Crash Landing on You, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and Hospital Playlist.
