LAHORE: Basit Ali, Arham Nawab, and Sajjad Ali shined as Bahawalpur Royals beat Hyderabad Hunters by eight wickets in their opening match of the Pakistan Junior League (PJL) at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Friday.
Bahawalpur Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Royals bowled out Hunters for 113 runs in 18.3 overs, and chased down the paltry target in just 12.4 overs.
Basit Ali was sensational for his side as he smashed 54 runs in 30 balls, while Obaid Shahid scored 32 runs in 26 balls.
For Hunters, Haseeb Ur Rehman and Mohammad Zubair claimed a wicket each.
Earlier, a sensational bowling display by Arham Nawab and Sajjad Ali helped Royals bowl out Hunters for 113 runs.
Arham and Sajjad claimed three wickets each.
