
KARACHI: Centuries by Saud Shakeel and Omain Bin Yousuf helped Sindh dominate during the third day of the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy clash in Rawalpindi.
At the close of play, Sindh had a lead of 105 runs in the first innings after finishing on 489-9.
Skipper Shakeel and Omair both scored 105 runs which put Sindh in a strong position against their rivals.
It must be noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa scored 384 runs in their first innings with the help of a 148-run knock by Mohammad Sarwar.
In Abbottabad, Balochistan have a lead of 52 runs against Southern Punjab after dismissing the latter for 330 in the first innings. Balochistan were 36-1 at stumps on day three.
Balochistan’s Najeebullah registered his maiden five-wicket haul in first-class cricket after bagging figures of 5-90.
Meanwhile in Faisalabad, Northern trail by 84 runs against Central Punjab after reaching 425-4 at the close of play on day three.
Sarmad Bhatti was unbeaten on 102 as Northern look to get closer to Central Punjab’s first innings total of 509-9 declared.
